Brownie Tip of the Month Every few weeks, grocery stores have brand name brownie mixes on sale for $1 or so...Buy a few boxes to keep on hand. I know there are added ingredients, but if you only eat brownies once a month, no harm done. Spending $1 for a box and making a pan of brownies (usually all you add is oil and 2 eggs) is actually less expensive than making brownies from scratch! And, there are a couple good mixes out there that are just as good or even better than some home-made brownie recipes! The recipe to the left is very good, but you can't make a pan for $1!
