for an anniversary?

1st Year Paper
How about having one of rooms in
house wallpapered as a gift?
Or, you could get a years subscription to a local newspaper. Not that rich? How about
buying a nice supply of paper goods? Paper plates, paper towels, paper cups, paper napkins?

2nd Year Cotton
Hmm. Towels, linens would be nice.
A year supply of cutips and cotton balls?
Does anyone sew? How bout nice
material and thread? For those with
money, send the love birds on
a trip to the Mississippi Delta to visit the great cotton
plantations of the old south!

Third Year Leather
Leather...How bout a nice leather chair? Or, leather ottoman?
A leather Toolbelt would be nice! For those with horses, a leather Lariat or Quirt.
His and Hers matching leather wallets initialled? Or, leather checkbook covers.
For those on an extreme budget, how bout rawhide shoelaces?
For the Bibliophiles, a beautiful old leather bound book cannot be beat!
For the Motorcycle people..Leather protection gear! Again, those who love horses,
how bout leather Saddlebags or new saddle, etc?
This is a family site, so wont go into anything other than family stuff!

FOURTH YEAR FRUIT AND FLOWERS
This is easy! How bout fruit of the month club?
Or a nice bouquet of flowers? Give the couple some perennial cuttings you
may have..Wont cost you anything, but the couple will think of you always when the flowers are in bloom!    Flowery towels?   Floral Wallpaper? Make a few jars of fruit preserves!
How bout a gift certificate to a botanic garden? For those who have money,
Help with landscaping their yard, with fruit trees, shrubs and flowers!

FIFTH YEAR    WOOD
So easy...Furniture of course...Or a shrub or tree...Writing Paper could be ok.
Wooden Kitchen utensils are always appreciated..Wood Salad Bowls, Wood Spoons, etc.
Also, old Wooden items are nice...Old wooden advertising signs, Old Wood Cutlery Trays.
Wood is easy...Just remember...No one wants pressed wood for an anniversary!
Be sure it is real wood, and not imitation!   Wooden music boxes are appreciated, as are
wood figurines, hand carved. A hand carved wooden music box, with a song that
both people adore, is very special (if you have the money)
