Recipe for Beef Brisket

Beef Brisket Recipe

Ingredients:
3 lbs beef brisket
1/2 cup chopped celery and the leaves
1/2 cup sliced onions or to your liking
1/2 cup carrots
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
(potatoes are optional)

Cover beef with hot water, add the vegetables and cover the pot. Simmer for 2-1/2 to 3 hours until meat is tender. Do not boil.
Add the salt 1/2 way through cooking and add water if necessary.  Remove the meat from the broth and slice. Serve with horseradish sauce.
