Cabbage Casserole Recipe Ingredients: 1 large head of cabbage 1 chopped onion 6 tablespoons butter, divided 11 ounce can cream of mushroom soup (no water added) 8 ounces of American Cheese (cubed) 1/4 cup bread crumbs salt and pepper to taste Cook cabbage in boiling salted water till tender..Drain. IN large skillet, saute onion till clean in 5 tablespoons butter. Add the cream of mushroom soup and mix well, add the cheese, mix, and his and stir till cheese is melted. Remove from heat. Stir in the cabbage, salt and pepper. Transfer to an ungreased 2 quart casserole dish. In a small skillet, melt the remaining butter...And, cook and stir the breadcrumbs until lightly browned. Sprinkle the mixture over the casserole...Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, until heated through. Makes 6 servings. Recipe by Gert Allison
