Ingredients 1 package dry yeast 1/4 cup warm water 4 cups unbleached flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup butter 3 beaten egg yolks 1 cup lukewarm milk 2 tablespoons melted butter 1/2 cup sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon In small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. In a large bowl, conbmine the flour, 1/4 cup sugar and salt. Cut in the 1 cup of butter until mixture is mealy. Mix in the yeast, beaten egg yolks and milk until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours. Grease 2 loaf pans. Turn 1/2 of dough into well floured board. Roll into a rectangle, brush with 1 tablespoon melted butter. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle half on rectangle. Roll up beginning at narrow edge. Pinch edge and seal. Place seam side down in pan. Repeat with the other loaf. Now, cover dough and let rise in a warm place for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 1 hour. Remove from pans, and frost with the glaze below.*************** Glaze Ingredients: 1-1/2 cups confectioners sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla 1 tablespoon warm water 2 tablespoons softened butter In small bowl, mix the above ingredients together. Add more warm water if needed to make smooth. Drizzle over the loaves. This recipe is by Patricial M. Keon of Mashpee. It won first prize at the Barnstable County Fair in 1984.
