Recipe for Coffee Brandy 1-1/2
cups of instant
Sanka (no substitute) 6 cups sugar 1 vanilla bean 1 bottle vodka (750 ml) The cheap no-name brands are the best for this! Mix the instant Sanka and water in a large heavy pot. Let the coffee dissolve. Next, add the vanilla bean and sugar and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Stir with a wooden spoon only. Keep stirring until the mixture has a syrup consistency. Remove the pot from the stove and let cool. Add the vodka. You will need a large glass container with cover or earthenware jug to pour into. You can pour some of it back into the empty vodka bottle. This recipe makes 2 quarts. You need to let this liqueur sit for at least 30 days before drinking! This recipe is very good and tastes much like the expensive brands you buy in the store! Don't drink it all the first night! You will get a bad headache! Great for gift giving (or your own cupboard for special occasions) This recipe is so easy..You only need to follow directions!
