Recipe
for Dog Stew (and people can eat it too)
Ingredients:
2 lbs. hamburger
1 can water
2-3 carrots, cut-up
1/2 c. oatmeal
1 small can tomato sauce
Brown the meat, but
don't drain; add the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook slowly about
45 minutes. Store in a wide mouth glass jar. If you intend to freeze,
leave 11/2 inches of head space in the jar. You may also store in
smaller containers to have individual servings. NOTE: If you make this stew for people
instead of for a dog, you may drain the hamburger and add 2 onions,
chopped up. But for dogs, NEVER give them raw or cooked onions nor do
you feed chocolate to a dog. Both onions and chocolate
are very harmful to dogs!
