Easy Pound Cake Recipe Ingredients: 2 Cups Flour 1-3/4 Cups Sugar 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup Crisco 1/4 pound of butter 2 tablespoons baking powder 4 eggs Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer, and set on creaming speed . Mix for about 20 minutes. Pour cake mixture into a large, ungreased bundt or tube pan. Be sure to place a large piece of aluminum foil on the rack in a cold oven, and set the cake pan on the foil. Be sure the foil does not touch the sides or top of oven. Be sure to put the cake in a cold oven, not preheated. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Turn off the oven and let the cake set in the oven for about 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand on a rack for a few moments before removing from pan. Whatever you do, do not open the oven door while this cake is baking! It will fall!
