Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg yolk 1 cup grated raw apple 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup walnuts 1-1/2 cups flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 egg white 1/2 cup cold coffee Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the egg yolk, then stir in the apple, raisins and nuts. Mix and sift the flour, baking powder and salt. Add this alternately with the cold coffee to the first mixture. Fold in stiffly beaten egg white. Turn into a well greased loaf pan and bake in a moderate oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes Back to Cake Recipes |
