Recipe for Hot Water Ginger Bread

Milk Free and Egg Free Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 cup fat
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup molasses
2-1/2 cups flour
1-1/2 teaspoons ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda

Melt fat in boiling water.  Add molasses.  Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture, beating vigorously. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
