for K-9 Dog Biscuits K-9 Dog Biscuit Recipe Ingredients: 3 cups of flour (any combination of white, whole wheat, rye, cornmeal or oatmeal) 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 cup crisco, margarine or meat drippings 1 egg 1/2 cup liquid (beef/chicken broth, gravy, water or milk) Combine the flours and garlic powder. Add the shortening. Blend until crumbly. Add egg and liquid and mix. Form dough into balls and knead a bit. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick and cup into shapes or use a cookie cutter. Bake on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack and store in a cool, dry place. This will make 2 dozen biscuits. It isn't hard and it is fun to make. Just a little time consuming. Make them for your special dog and he will love you! I find the dogs like it best when made with chicken broth.
