How Healthy is it to Eat Lobster
?

Nutrition studies show that 3 1/2 ounces of lobster meat (without the butter) contains only 90 calories, compared to 163 calories for the same amount of chicken and 280 calories for sirloin steak. Lobster also contains omega-3 fatty acids, the "good " cholesterol that seems to reduce hardening of the arteries and decrease the risk of heart attacks.  It's the butter, Mayonnaise and Stuffing that make it less healthy!

Children and Nutrition
Did you know that proper nourishment helps to avoid crime?  HOW?   Children must be fed, clothed, and housed right, if society would  avoid building crime.  Nervous irritations and mental perversions originate  in gastro-intestinal derangement brought on from foods improperly prepared  and wrongly combined, plus bad air, improper clothing, and poor discipline. ...
The above information is from the book  "FOOD"  "ITS INFLUENCE AS A  FACTOR IN DISEASE AND HEALTH"  WRITTEN BY DR. JH TILDEN about 100 years ago.

Coca Cola and other Soft Drinks

Did you know that a 12 ounce can of Coca Cola (and other non-diet softdrinks) contains the  equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar and has around 150 calories per can?   It is very easy to get hooked on soft drinks, especially Coca Cola and Pepsi.  If you drink 3 cans a day, you are ingesting  about 30 teapoons of sugar and getting an addition 450 calories a day!   Now,try to fit this
in with the rest of your daily diet!  If you have been gaining weight, and not overeating, add up the amount of soft drinks you drink daily. You may be surprised to learn that by just cutting down to one soft drink a day, you will find you will lose weight in no time!  Within two weeks, you should lose about 1 pound.  And, all you are giving up are 2 cans soda a day! Drink ice water with a few squirts of lemon or lime in it...This helps the transition from soda to water.
For the heavier soda drinkers out there....Do not go cold turkey, or you will end
up with caffeine withdrawal.  If you currently drink 4 or more cans a day, cut down to 2 sodas a day for about 1 week.  After that week, you can cut down to one a day for a week. You may thencut out these beverages completely and safely.  However, my recommendation to you is  not to substitute the diet colas...They are just as addicting (if not more so) than cola with sugar.

They also tend to make you want to eat more.  Trust me...I went through it all!
