Puree of Pea Soup Recipe Ingredients: 1/2 pint of split peas 3 pints cold water 1 teaspoon salt 1 ounce butter 1 onion, finely chopped 1 carrot, grated 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup cream Place the peas in the water with the salt. Soak overnight. When ready, in another pan, put the butter, onion, carrot and celery. Stir and cook for 6 minutes. Add this to the peas in the water. Cook for one hour.Strain the soup and add the cream. Heat through.
