Susie's Layer Cake Recipe  100 year old recipe

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk

 In large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.   Add the beaten eggs and beat the eggs with the sugar/butter mixture until very light.  Alternate adding the milk and the sifted flour, baking poweder and salt and mix well. Beat lightly for about 1 minute.  Put into greased layer cake pans and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.     From the Magic Cookbook, very early 1900's.
