Syllabub Pudding Recipe Syllabub Pudding Make one quart of rich cream very sweet, grate half a nutmeg over it, put it into a china bowl and milk a cow into it, that it many become very frothy. From an 1855 Cookbook! ****************** Now, you can buy buy a container of heavy cream, get the nutmeg already grated in a jar. And, you could pour the milk from a container! However, it might be interesting to try this recipe if you are living on a farm, and compare the difference in taste from directly from the cow and directly from the grocery store! Please send me any thoughts if you tried this the old fashioned way, and also the modern way! Have fun with the recipes!
