Russian Tea Cookies Recipe Ingredients: 1 cup shortening 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 2 egg yolks 2 egg whites 1 tablespoon water 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups flour 1 package chocolate chips 1 cup chopped waltnuts In bowl, cream the shortening and the sugar together. In small bowl, mix the egg yolks with the water, and add to the sugar mixture. Add the salt, vanilla, white sugar and flour and beat well. Spread this mixtures on a greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle the package of chocolate chips over the dough and the sprinkle the nuts on top. In separate bowl, beat egg whites with the brown sugar. Bread the brown sugar mixture on top.
