Recipe for Texas Hash Comfort Food

Tasty Ground Beef Recipe

Ingredients:

2 Large Onions, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
3 tablespoons margarine
1 pound ground beef
1 large can #20 tomatoes
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

Saute onions and green peppers in margarine until soft.
Add the meat and brown, breaking it up with a fork. Add the tomatoes, rice and seasonings. Heat through.
Grease a large casserole dish. Add the above ingredients. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Makes 6 servings.
